Demon Lord Reference

STORY -

A demon lord with dominion over a small portion of the Inferno, who claims that his 'superior pedigree' comes from the loins of Satan and a heathen goddess. Using this claim, he has avoided all-out war between him and his brothers (and sisters) or any other demon ambitious enough to take him on.

This Demon Lord calls himself "Kheper Kamen". Kheper means transformation or scarab in Egyptian, and kamen means mask in Japanese. Some just call him the 'Destroyer' or a 'Pharaoh of Pain'.

His motif is heavily egyptian inspired, as are his abilities. He doesn't fight on the front lines, preferring instead to bend fate or his opponents to his will - using magic gleaned from various magical traditions. He is well known as an adept in the arts of Haeku - a magical practice used by the Egyptian Pantheon.

If that fails, however, he is known to depend on his demon legions. He isn't a warrior - he is a schemer and a tactician.

The truth is stranger than this, however - some rumors claim he is just a mortal magician crazy enough to seek rule over Hell. (Gehenna) Some say he is the son of such a god, though - making half of his claim true.

What makes him more mysterious is his true allegiance, and where he came from. He has come from creation (Assiah) and was born there. Though the nature of demons always draws them into conflict and competition with each other, his true reasons for seeking the throne of Hell are unknown.
